JOAN MOREY in FIVE YEARS
FIVE YEARS presents a rough draft installation by Joan Morey about the role of the spectator infront a piece of art. The artist combines different elements generated from traces, remnants of props and costumes from their live performances to create decadent mise-en-scènes. This site-specific will be accompanied by a selection of previous work on Sunday (Bistrotheque, Cabaret Room at 7 PM).
-JOAN MOREY is an artist based in Barcelona, Spain. His work proposes alternatives to the exhibition through a serie of confrontations between artwork and audience. He explores the language of performance to develop environments and theatrical situations. His statement evolves the unorthodox relationship between Master and Slave to understand the mechanisms of power, that are used to reconstructing a visual, oral and written proposals closer to religion, faith and ideology.
